Traumatic Incident Reduction

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) is a healing modality that can be utilized to process and resolve traumatic experiences through structured and evidence-based techniques. It is designed to reduce the emotional charge associated with traumatic memories, and it can be a helpful approach for PTSD, and other trauma-related conditions. The client chooses the incident to work on and the pace of the session, and the counsellor creates a safe and non-intrusive environment for processing.

Before booking a TIR session, it is important to undergo an assessment during a regular session to ensure it will be an appropriate fit. Sessions are booked for a time frame of 90 minutes, but clients may only end up needing half, or even a quarter of that time. For this type of session, clients will only be billed for the time they use at a rate of $132/hour. This is the only type of session where clients pay for the time used instead of the time booked, and this is due to how challenging it can be to predict the time needed to process certain traumatic memories.
